July 16, 2010 - The BIA is looking for a self-motivated, driven individual for the position of Membership Director. The primary duty of the MD is to educate businesses on the many benefits of membership in the BIA and assist them in becoming members.

Responsibilities include:
- recruitment of builder, associate and affiliate members
- matching sponsors with events most beneficial to their business
- direct sale of association services to members and non-members
- contributing to the development of member recruitment programs as aligned with the association's strategic plans
- direct the development of a membership committee
- make annual recommendations for policy, procedure, and program changes as they relate to membership growth

The ideal candidate would be a goal-oriented person with relationship-based sales experience.
